...to return to America after two rainy days in Canada. Especially when we made an unscheduled stop at the New England Maple Museum in Pittsford, VT (
http://www.maplemuseum.com/tour.html).
We had a tour of the history and process of maple syrup production, saw a film about the process, sampled maple syrup products and jams and other spreads and naturally ended our tour in the gift shop. It was an unexpected and unplanned education and a delicious surprise.
We also had our first covered bridge siting...at Shellburne, Vermont. Even the drizzle couldn't keep the group from getting off the bus to get the pictures.

I love New England, especially in the fall. Beautiful pictures.
How many covered bridges by you have if all your covered bridges have covers except one bridges which is not covered.
What a gorgeous setting and pic of that bridge!!! Love the maple syrup story!
Is Pete on the plane yet? What's he talking about covering up and uncovering covered bridges without covers? He's confusing me. Pete, YOU'RE confusing!!!!
If Uncle Peter is confusing then we know he must be sooooo much better!!
Love the Mask!
It's not a trip to New England with out a covered bridge and some maple syrup. Well done!!!
